This book however, was painful to get through, as the female main character was cringeworthy that almost everything that came out of their mouth made me wince. Emily Henry certainly crushed it in Beach Read, which has a similar concept. I love romances about authors, and when you add in some enemies to lovers tension you can have an amazing story on your hands. I am more than willing to give authors second chances though, especially if I have liked some of their other works, so I went into No Words with high hopes. I was clearly wrong, as I did not enjoy No Offense (I gave it a 2-star rating because I finished it, despite the aggressive lack of chemistry between the two main characters). It was my first Meg Cabot book (practically a crime, yes I know), and so I assumed that I would enjoy the rest of the series and her writing in general. I really enjoyed No Judgement, the first book in Meg Cabot’s Little Bridge Island series.
